June saw an increase in exports from Richards Bay, up 18% month-on-month and 14% year-on-year to 5.45 Mt, port authority data shows. Exports in the Apr-Jun period of 15.3 Mt were below the Jan-Mar total of 16.8 Mt. However, it was 2.1 Mt higher than the 2q11. As a result total volumes of 32.0 Mt in the 1h12 were 4.6 Mt higher than the 1h11.
