Qatar Airways and Kenya Airways Forge Partnership to Expand Flight Options Through New Codeshare Agreement

As reported by qatar Airways, a new partnership has been established with Kenya Airways through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), paving the way for an exciting strategic alliance that includes an extensive codeshare agreement and enhanced flight options between Nairobi and Doha.

This collaboration will introduce an additional daily flight from doha to Nairobi, available for booking shortly.Moreover, during the upcoming winter season, travelers can look forward to flights operated by Kenya Airways but marketed under Qatar Airways from Mombasa to Doha.The two airlines are also set to codeshare on their respective networks, ensuring smooth connections for passengers.

Allan Kilavuka, CEO of Kenya Airways Group, expressed enthusiasm about this partnership: “This collaboration aligns seamlessly with our turnaround strategy that recently led us back into profitability after over ten years. It’s not just about flights; it’s about enhancing tourism and air cargo operations which are vital for economic growth in Kenya and East Africa.”

Celebrating 20 years of service in Kenya today is notable as we continue building partnerships across the continent—most recently with Airlink. Our ongoing collaborations ensure that we play a key role in Africa’s dynamic aviation landscape.” Currently, Qatar Airways operates more than 170 weekly flights connecting 30 African cities while optimizing schedules at various destinations like Brussels and New York through its hub at Hamad International Airport.
