Wan Hai Lines debuts new Vietnam–Thailand–India direct route

Wan Hai Lines has announced a new direct service, the Tamil Nadu–Thailand Express (TTX) service, with the first vessel arriving at India’s Chennai and Visakhapatnam ports on 5 and 6 May, respectively.

To mark this milestone, Wan Hai’s India and local terminal operators held an inaugural ceremony, signaling the launch of the new service.

The newly launched TTX service is a response to the booming bilateral trade between the markets of Vietnam, Thailand, and India, aiming to provide customers with more efficient and convenient shipping solutions, according to the company’s announcement.

The service operates on a fixed schedule using four vessels, each with a capacity of 2,200 TEUs, and completes a full rotation in 28 days.

The maiden voyage was carried out by Wan Hai 317, which departed from Cai Lai Port in Vietnam on 20 April.

The port rotation for the new service is as follows:

Cai Lai (Vietnam) – Laem Chabang (Thailand) – Singapore – Port Klang (North, Malaysia) – Chennai (India) – Visakhapatnam (India) – Port Klang (North) – Singapore – Cai Lai
