Delhi Metro Explores Innovative Urban Freight Solutions

In India,Blue Dart,a leading express logistics firm,is experimenting with the Delhi metro system to deliver parcels. This innovative approach aims to tackle the notorious traffic jams in the National capital Region.

The goal? To boost efficiency,speed up deliveries,and cut down on carbon footprints.

According to a report from March 16 by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), initial tests have been carried out on the Blue Line. They recently inked an agreement with Blue Dart to broaden this initiative. The plan is to gradually roll out trials across various lines before fully implementing it step by step.

This isn’t just a local endeavor; DMRC has also been in talks with Madrid Metro, which kicked off its own parcel delivery pilot program earlier this year.
