Hapag-Lloyd applies new Tanzania peak season surcharge

Hapag-Lloyd has announced a new Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for all shipments from Asia and Oceania to the port of Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania.

The surcharge will be applicable for all container types and for all sailings commencing on 27 April until further notice.

The German ocean carrier notes that the PSS will be US$200 per TEU and US$400 per FEU.

Asia and Oceania region include Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji, Micronesia, New Caledonia, New Zealand, French Polynesia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna Island.
