Maersk updates DACH and Poland fuel fees
Maersk has announced its intermodal fuel fees for inland transportation across the DACH region and Poland for the second half of October.
The Maersk intermodal fuel fees will apply from 12 to 26 October 2026. Rates will increase in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, while Poland’s levels will remain unchanged.
Maersk intermodal fuel fees
| Market | Transport mode | Previous rate | New rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Germany, Austria and Switzerland | Truck | 15% | 16% |
| Germany, Austria and Switzerland | Barge and BCO | 15% | 16% |
| Germany, Austria and Switzerland | RCO | 7.5% | 8% |
| Poland | Truck | 16% | 16% |
| Poland | RCO | 8% | 8% |
Maersk will apply the percentages to its Inland Haulage Import and Inland Haulage Export charges.
The temporary Export Fuel Surcharge and Import Fuel Surcharge have been in place since the Price Calculation Date of 16 March 2026.
Maersk attributed the measures to higher energy prices and fuel availability pressures linked to the security situation in the Middle East.
The carrier will review the Maersk intermodal fuel fees every two weeks as energy market conditions develop.
