Noatum Logistics, the logistics arm of AD Ports Group, has doubled its trucking fleet to more than 850 vehicles as part of its expansion across the Middle East and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets.

The new trucks were delivered in batches over the past six months and have already been integrated into the company’s regional operations. All newly acquired vehicles meet Euro 5 emissions standards, supporting the expansion of its transport capacity across the region.

The investment strengthens Noatum Logistics’ predominantly owned and operated fleet. It also allows the company to offer cross-border road transport as an in-house service, supporting its freight forwarding, contract logistics and project logistics activities.

According to the company, the larger fleet will provide greater operational flexibility and improve its ability to respond to changing customer requirements across regional supply chains.

“This investment is about much more than adding trucks. It is about building the capabilities that enable us to stay closer to our customers, deliver greater certainty and efficiency across their supply chains, and respond quickly to changing market conditions,” said Thorsten Pook, Managing Director of Noatum Logistics for the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and CIS.

Strengthening multimodal connections across the GCC

Alongside its expanded road transport capacity, Noatum Logistics is combining its trucking operations with a dedicated rail shuttle service connecting Khalifa Port and Fujairah Terminals in the UAE.

The company said the two transport modes complement each other in terms of capacity, cargo volumes and transit requirements. This combination allows customers to access alternative overland routes and maintain cargo movements during regional disruptions.

The multimodal network also supports bonded transport corridors linking the UAE’s industrial centres with regional seaports and airports. According to Noatum Logistics, these connections provide additional options for customers seeking to maintain supply chain continuity.

The fleet expansion is accompanied by investments in digital monitoring systems. Every vehicle is equipped with GPS tracking and connected to a centralised control tower, allowing the company to monitor vehicle movements, shipment progress and asset utilisation in real time.

These capabilities are intended to improve shipment visibility and give customers greater oversight of their regional transport operations.

The latest expansion follows other investments in Noatum Logistics’ road transport capabilities. In August, Container News reported on the delivery of electric heavy trucks to Noatum Logistics by SANY, highlighting the company’s wider efforts to develop its transport fleet.

Backed by AD Ports Group, Noatum Logistics continues to expand its regional logistics network through investments in road, rail and digital infrastructure. The company aims to strengthen its position in cross-border transport while supporting more flexible supply chain connections across the GCC.
