Antwerp-based gas and tanker owner EXMAR has agreed to sell the first of its suezmax tankers under construction at Daehan Shipbuilding in South Korea.
EXMAR said the vessel will be delivered to the buyers simultaneously with its delivery under the shipbuilding contract in the third quarter of 2027.
The shipowner will realize a profit of approximately US$22m on this sale.
The 157,000 tons suezmax vessel, classed by Lloyds Register (LR), has a length of 274 meters, a beam of 48 meters and a draught of 16 meters, according to the company’s website.
