Cyprus-headquartered shipping investment company in dry bulk and tanker sectors Danship Partners breaks into the MR segment with debut purchase.
The acquisition involves the Danship Symphony, previously Easterly Symphony, a 36,677-dwt medium-range product and chemical tanker.
The transaction was completed in August, Danship Partners said, following which the vessel was delivered into a long-term time charter with an international charterer.
Pricing has not been disclosed by the company.
According to Danship Partners, the purchase is supported by debt financing from a global financial institution.
The ship management company, InterMaritime Shipmanagement, based in Cyprus has been appointed as the technical manager of the vessel.
Danship Partners said its board of directors continues to explore opportunistic asset acquisitions across the principal shipping segments, whilst the tanker segment remains a core area of focus.
