US Marine Corps awards $230m contract for new amphibious recovery vehicles
BAE Systems has been awarded a US$230.1 million contract modification for full-rate production of 32 amphibious combat vehicle recovery mission role variants (ACV-R) for the US Marine Corps.
The firm-fixed-price modification was awarded to BAE Systems Land and Armaments. It exercises options covering the vehicles, along with related costs for production, fielding and support, and spares.
The US Department of War contract notice said FY2026 US Marine Corps procurement funds covered the entire amount, which was obligated when the award was made. If every option is exercised, the contract’s total value can reach approximately US$4.096 billion.
The notice gave an expected completion date of November 2028. BAE said work on the programme will take place primarily in York, Pennsylvania, through 2029.
