Frangou: Navios Maritime Partners adds aframax/LR2, boxship duo to fleet | Container news

Greek Navios Maritime Partners led-by Angeliki Frangou stays active with more additions to its fleet, as the owner took recently delivery of an aframax/LR2 product tanker newbuild and two boxships.

Angeliki Frangou added to its fleet portfolio the newly built Nave Neutrino, the fourth aframax/LR2 product tanker vessel from a total of 16 similar vessels, of which 12 are under construction and three are already delivered.

The 115,807-dwt Nave Neutrino is equipped with framo pumps and designed with the latest environmentally friendly technology.

The owner also took delivery of its 11th and 12th newbuild containerships, the 7,700 TEU LNG-dual fuel HMM Ocean and the 7,700 TEU LNG-dual fuel HMM Sky.

The HMM Ocean signals a ‘significant milestone’ for both Navios Partners and HMM as it is the first LNG powered vessel in both fleets, Navios Maritime Partners said.

On the other hand, the HMM Sky also signals a ‘milestone’ for both Navios Partners and HMM as it is the second LNG-powered vessel in both fleets.
