Zim logs $2.15bn profit in ‘exceptional’ turnaround year
Israeli liner company Zim has logged a net profit of $2.15bn for the full year of 2024, turning around a loss of $2.69bn in the previous year.
The Haifa-based, New York-listed carrier made a net profit of $563m for the fourth quarter of 2024, compared with a net loss of $147m in the same period a year earlier.
Zim president and ceo Eli Glickman attributed the outstanding performance to record carried volume and exceptional profitability.
