CMA CGM introduces new service connecting Far East with South America East Coast

CMA CGM announced the launch of its new SEAS 3 service (Asia to South America East Coast 3), designed to optimize shipments from the Far East to the East Coast of South America (ECSA).

This service aligns with the evolving market dynamics in the region and reinforces the French carrier’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality services while supporting the growth of your business.

The SEAS 3 service offers a direct and efficient rotation connecting Shanghai (China), Shekou (China), Vung Tau (Vietnam), Singapore, and Santos (Brazil, with a return loop to Shanghai. It features an express direct service to Santos, covering calls from Central and South China, as well as a unique direct call from Vietnam at Vung Tau, providing seamless connections via Singapore for shipments originating in Southeast Asia.

Additionally, the service strengthens the Santos hub by utilizing a reliable feedering network, linking Mercosul services, including Braco for North East destinations and Plata for Argentina and Uruguay markets. Caribbean destinations are also accessible through the CMA CGM Brazex Northbound service.

The SEAS 3 service is built on strong reliability, offering a direct, fixed-day weekly service with more than 20% buffer time, supported by a fleet of seven ships operated by CMA CGM and four ships operated by Maersk.

The inaugural departure of the vessel “CMA CGM Nansha” is scheduled for 8 April 2025 from Shanghai.
