Maersk separates Finnish port charges from inland haulage rates
Maersk has changed the cost structure of its inland haulage services for import and export shipments in Finland.
Effective from 1 October 2026, Arex charges and port dues are no longer included in the carrier’s inland haulage rates.
Instead, Maersk will list these costs as “subject to” charges in its terms and conditions. Therefore, customers should consider them separately when reviewing the total cost of an inland transport quotation.
The revised structure applies to all new quotations, tenders and updated rates issued from the effective date. Maersk said its online rates will also be adjusted accordingly.
According to the carrier, the change is intended to make its inland offers more competitive and directly comparable with other options available in the Finnish market.
