Each vessel boasts a deadweight tonnage (dwt) of 115,621 and was constructed by New Times Shipbuilding (NTS) in China.

State-of-the-Art Features & Environmental Compliance

In line with modern environmental and efficiency regulations, the new tankers incorporate innovative technologies, making them among the most advanced in their class.

Key features of Aisopos and Aiolos include:

  • Shaft Generator Installation: Enhancing fuel efficiency and reducing carbon intensity, improving their Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI), Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII), and Daily Fuel Oil Consumption (DFOC).
  • IMO EEDI Phase III Compliance: The ships meet stringent energy efficiency standards, demonstrating Capital’s commitment to sustainable shipping.
  • LNG-Ready Design: Ensuring adaptability for future fuel transitions as the maritime industry moves towards cleaner energy solutions.
  • Advanced Energy-Saving Devices: Incorporating Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) for large pumps and fans, as well as a high-efficiency rudder, to optimize fuel use and reduce emissions.
  • Cybersecurity Certification: Certified by Lloyd’s Register, ensuring protection against cyber threats in an increasingly digitalized maritime environment.
A Milestone for Greek-Flagged Shipping

Both tankers proudly sail under the Greek flag, marking a historic achievement as the first-ever Greek-flagged vessels delivered by New Times Shipbuilding. This underscores Capital’s dedication to strengthening Greece’s maritime presence with cutting-edge, energy-efficient vessels.
